[ARCHIVED] Berkeley County Assessor's Office Relocates

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (May 21, 2024) – The Berkeley County Assessor's Office is now providing services on the First Floor of the Berkeley County Administration Building at 400 West Stephen Street.

The Assessor's offices are now located in Suite 106.

The move of the Assessor’s Office is part of a comprehensive public accessibility-focused project for the Berkeley County Administration Building. The relocation of various county departments and agency offices during the renovation project has been guided, at least in part, by the volume of public engagement that each office typically receives.

Agency and department offices that previously relocated to more accessible, renovated spaces on the First Floor of the Administration Building include the Berkeley County Fire Service Board, Berkeley County IT Department, Berkeley County Sheriff's Tax Office and the Berkeley County Fiduciary (Wills & Estates) Office.

Additional offices scheduled to relocate to the First Floor of the Administration Building in the coming weeks include various divisions of the Berkeley County Clerk’s Office, including Document Recording, Civil Service and Vital Statistics, and the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority.

The project includes a new 600-square foot addition to the building and renovation of about 42,000 square feet of the building.

The project architect is Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates. The general contractor is Brechbill & Helman Construction Co., Inc., of Chambersburg, Pa.
