[ARCHIVED] Family Emergency Preparedness Class set for Sept. 24

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (September 23, 2024) - Berkeley County residents are invited to take advantage of a free Family Emergency Preparedness Class to be held on Sept. 24 at Baker Heights Volunteer Fire Department. 

The class will be held at the fire department's main station from 6:30 PM to 8 PM. at 36 Danbury Lane, Martinsburg.  

The class is open to home owners, caregivers and anyone who may be interested in planning ahead for a possible natural or man-made disaster. Topics include: How to Build an Emergency Kit, Where to Obtain Emergency Notifications and Reliable Information, Creation of a Home Evacuation Plan and Tips for Sheltering in Place and Generator Safety, among other subjects.
