MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (June 28, 2024) – 

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

1. New dog tags are available July 1^st. Dog tags expire every September 30th. 

2. Homestead applications are accepted between July 1-December 1 (in office only). 

*If other arrangements need to be made, please speak to a Transfer Clerk by calling (304) 264-1904.

3. Farm applications are accepted between July 1-September 1 (by mail or in office). 

4. Tax statements are mailed by the Sheriff’s Tax Office approximately July 15^th. 

5. All individual personal property returns are due by October 1^st to avoid penalty. 

6. All commercial personal property returns are due by September 1^st to avoid penalty.
